Empowering Futures through Education, Da Ma Cai Donate to Two Charitable Organisations

Education is about imparting knowledge in order to empowering individuals, transforming communities, and shaping a brighter future. Quality education equips individuals with the much needed knowledge, skills and mindset to succeed in an increasingly complex world. Many children lack of access to schools, teachers and resources due to various socio-economic barriers that spiral into cycles of poverty and inequality. Educational charitable organisations play a vital roles in expanding access to learning opportunities, making education more accessible and equitable for marginalised communities. In supports of these educational charitable organisations, Da Ma Cai donated resources through Staff-in-the-Community programme to two charitable organisations in Broga area, that are devoted in delivering quality education: Desa Amal Jireh and Home for the Angels Care Centre.

For Rumah Faith Learning Centre, a homeschooling programme at Desa Amal Jireh, education remains a priority, even in the face of adversity. The Centre focus area is learning and education for vulnerable children, to ensure that children were adequately prepared for schooling and decrease educational interruptions. Recently, the Centre also embraced education through technology by providing digital tools to enhance learning including computer lab.

“Children in poverty drop out or fail to graduate is because they have been falling behind year after year. It becomes too hard to catch up or pass exams. Our school help students to do better in class so they can stay in school and on track for graduation,” said Administrator of Desa Amal Jireh, Catherine Yeoh.

She added, “Giving can come in the form of physical items or as simple as spending time with our residents here who needs extra support or companionship. We are blessed to have Da Ma Cai bringing over groceries and shopping vouchers.”

Principal Ong at Home for the Angels Care Centre thanked Da Ma Cai for the act of kindness. “Every bit counts and it surely has a ripple effect that extends far beyond what we might imagine. We want to provide a fun and easy way to learn, no matter who they are or where they are from. Our classes help the children to stay engaged, leading to increased employment opportunities and in long term a healthier and empowered lives.”

“Supporting community-based organisations enables these organisations to reach more beneficiaries and sustains their programme for a long period.
