In the spirit of joyful Christmas, 14 children between 3 and 15 years old from Rumah Sayangan in Cheras were treated to a bouncing fun time, sumptuous lunch and back-to-school shopping spree.
A group of staff volunteers from Da Ma Cai gathered and accompanied the children to visit a nearby shopping mall. The children have a jolly good time at an indoor entertainment arcade that provides trampoline park, ball pit and artificial snow park with slides. Laughter and chatter later filled the restaurant as they enjoyed the holiday meal before selecting their shoes and socks for school.
For this short programme, Rumah Sayangan also received RM6,000 worth of shopping vouchers to get the daily necessities and school essentials.
“Thanks to Da Ma Cai, this is definitely their favourite time of the year. We are thankful that our children got to enjoy during this holiday season and also shopping to get ready for school next year,” said Susan Looi, Administrator for Rumah Sayangan.
She added, Rumah Sayangan is a home for underprivileged, abandoned, abused and orphaned children, and public donations is a constant need to keep the Home in operation.
