A woman in her late forties from Kuala Lumpur got more than just a laugh from the repartee with her sibling, when she won Da Ma Cai 1+3D Jackpot worth RM14,857,543.60 and became an overnight millionaire.
The lucky winner was all smiles when she collected her winnings with her brother. She shared that the pair of numbers that won her the jackpot; 3160 and 6917, were actually her brother’s car registration numbers.
“During our family gathering, my brother told us he received his new car the other day; thinking that he might get lucky by playing 4D classic with his new car number. However, he complaint about spending RM100 without winning any prizes on that day’s draw. So, I teased him on his unlucky day,” the lucky office administrator recounted.
She revealed that her brother did not bet on the subsequent draw. She added, “I have this sudden feeling that I was predestined to win the jackpot. So on Saturday afternoon, I bought a 1+3D Jackpot ticket consisting his new and old car numbers.”
The lucky winner told that she was watching the live draw via dmcGO on her phone and burst out in laughter when one of the numbers was drawn. She was going to send a picture of her winning ticket to her brother when the second winning number was drawn.
“She sounded hysterical when she called me,” the brother added. “I wanted to ignore her but when I saw the picture of the ticket, I drove straight to her house. We used the dmcGO app ticket scanner to check and could not contain ourselves when we saw the winning message.”
Da Ma Cai spokesperson said the function to scan ticket is a recent addition on their dmcGO mobile betting app. Customers can easily check if they have a winning ticket on hand at their own comfort. Furthermore, they can play the numbers again via dmcGO for subsequent draws.
When asked if she would split the fortune with her brother, the winner quirkily replied, “Of course I am not going to give him half the money. I will however help pay off all his outstanding debts.”
