Da Ma Cai launched its Annual Chinese New Year Festival Charity Programme, “A Time for Tradition and Sharing”. For this year’s Northern Region presentation, a total of 230 thousand was presented to 23 charitable organizations from 4 states.
The northern region presentation ceremony for this nationwide Programme was held at Rumah Sejahtera Permatang Tinggi (RSPT). The financial aid was presented to 10 charitable organizations from Penang, 3 from Kedah, 1 from Perlis and 9 from Perak.
Chong Yoon Yew, Senior Manager of Numbers Forecast Operations said that the community outreach programme was one of the company’s continuous initiatives and commitments to give something back to the less fortunate in the society.
“Da Ma Cai has been reaching out to the community for the past 25 years, and the cumulative contribution of our community outreach programme has surpassed RM17.6 million.”
Dato’ Tan Yoon Seng, Deputy Chairman of RSPT said that Da Ma Cai has chosen RSPT as the venue for the second time round, yet the first time held in the hall that was recently fitted with air-conditioning. He hoped that RSPT will be the venue for Da Ma Cai’s future event.
A total of RM800,000 financial aid will be distributed for this nationwide Programme. Earlier, 35 welfare homes from Central Region received donations amounting to RM350,000. Another RM220,000 financial aid will be presented in the Southern Region presentation ceremony.
